Writing Journal 8.9.2020: A better week as school approaches

Hi everyone, glad to be back. This will be pretty quick, because I was posting a few things for once this week.

I had a new Writer’s Biography post yesterday – it was good to do another one of those. I’ve got two more of those in draft form that I hope to get done in the next couple weeks.

Also, I continue to make progress on my video reviews of Lord of the Rings – just did another one yesterday. That has been fun and I am going to continue that until I finish the book. It might also lend itself to some reread videos as well.

School is coming up rapidly. I will have two in-service days this week, a whole week of in-service the following week, and then we will be apparently starting in-school learning. It will be interesting to meet a whole new group of colleagues and students. Counting the districts that I substituted in, this will be the sixth district I have taught in during my still-short educational career. That has been a mix of events out of my control (budget cuts) and in my control (my desire to move where my wife moves and support her career). I’m looking forward to the new experience.

Here’s the stats, as always. This was an improvement over last week’s, and that is always good. Writers keep writing, and everyone else keep safe.

+5,259 words written.
Days writing: 4 of 7.
Days revising/planning: 2 of 7 for 60 total minutes.
Daily Writing Goals Met (500+ words or 30 minutes of planning/revisions): 6 of 7 days.
