So, the week went well, but not as well as I would like. The raw numbers aren’t bad, but they might be a bit deceiving:
+10,529 words written.
Days writing: 6 of 7.
Days planning/revising: 0 of 7 for total minutes.
Daily Writing Goals Met (500+ words or 30 minutes of planning/revisions): 6 of 7 days.
So, a little lower production on word count, but that is not a significant issue. I made my daily goal 6 of 7 days, which makes me very happy to see that consistency.
What I wanted to see more of is some more revisions on my projects needing revision and some more work on my poetry project. I’ve got this entire summer to make some things happen and get a lot of work done on projects that could see publication.
I’m really proud of what I’ve accomplished during the last two years I’ve had this blog, but I have so much more room to grow as a writer. Like I’ve said before, getting published was a big milestone, but it’s nowhere near my only goal. I want to be able to grow my writing career as much as I can and seize every opportunity I can.
I’m going to hold off giving an update on my projects. During the mid-week (Wednesday?), I’m going to lay out a total list of all of the projects I want to complete in the near and not as near future, as well as some notes on deadlines and progress on them.
Yeah, this was pretty short. I’ll be back in touch, though.
