Hey, hi to everyone.
For the photo tonight, I decided to show a lit of some of the books I’m putting on my new reading rotation. I’m interested in writing fantasy, so I’m trying to check out some old and new influences and see what I might want to emulate and what I might want to stay away from like the plague. (Read here for a vague description of what I have in mind for Project F. If you have suggestions of possible fantasy works to read, especially those dealing with clashes of civilizations, mention them in the comments.)
There’s not much to write about tonight. I was on the road again this weekend, which shot any plans I had to writing down in flames, but no worries. By all metrics, I did less this week than last week, but I am hoping to improve that this week. Weekends have been horrible for me, I have to admit. I think part of that has been feeling like the need to bug out over the work week, but I am going to try and change that, although I won’t meet my daily goal for Sunday, or I will barely do so. (I’ll list the stats at the end below like I have been recently.)
Due to the lateness of the hour, I’m just going to add a few more things.
- I participated in NaNoWriMo before, but not for this month. My writing productivity is not quite off that pace, but I feel better trying to keep things going at a slower but steadier pace for the entire year, not just November.
- Still perfecting this map for Project F. I think I may have to look at it from a continental point of view and not a worldwide point of view, because medieval technology and wanting to keep nearby societies in touch and sensible, duh. (I’ll likely talk about this more in depth later.
- I have written more than 70,000 words of a project I’m doing just for the heck of it and have no interest in profiting off of, other than to use as an influence on my own original writing. I have to consider what that means to me.
- I’ll try and get on some of my other projects when I can. Take care.
