Writing Journal 3.8.2020: Productivity took a nose dive this week

Not much to talk about, so I won’t talk about much.

I was on the road more than usual this week, part of the consequences of preparing for my move later this summer. No real news there, so I’ll leave it at that.

Basically I’m fiddling with my hobby project, Project D (see here for details), and not much else. There’s not too much mental energy for much else given all of the other work I have to do for my day job and keeping things nice and neat around the house for various reasons. I will definitely take advantage of the summer for that, although I have a good feeling my wife will be (rightfully) recruiting me to help take care of things at the new home.

As a result, my productivity nose-dived last week. It’s happened before and despite all of my efforts to keep it otherwise, I am sure it will happen off and on again. I’m just glad that they are the exception and not the general rule, when I went without writing for years at times due to simple procrastination and lack of momentum.

Well, here are the stats for the week. I think it will be easy to better them this coming week, and I hope all of you writers out there are being more productive than I was last week.

+1,578 words written.

Days writing: 3 of 7.

Days revising/planning: 2 of 7 for  60 total minutes.

Daily Writing Goals Met (500+ words or 30 minutes of planning/revisions): 4 of 7 days.
