Writing Journal, 8 February 2023: A revision-heavy week

Hi, everyone.

It was a slow week this week as far as actual new productive writing went. I spent a lot of time working on revisions to recent work, which makes sense since I am starting a series and trying to coordinate information and details between two different works. I went into it in more detail in my week in review post a few days back, so I’ll leave it at that.

This week did wind up being the most productive from a revising standpoint, so I was very happy with that. And I have yet to have a week that I didn’t meet my daily quota fewer than six out of seven days. I’m already about 4,000 words above my 200,000 words per year goal for this year, so there is that. And I’m on a good start to my other goal of meeting my daily quota at least 75 percent of the time. So, all I need are some decent word count numbers over the next few weeks, and I should be fine.

Anyway, here’s the stats for last week.

Writing statistics for the week ending 4 February 2023:
+1,893 words written.
Days writing: 3 of 7.
Days revising/planning: 6 of 7 for 330 total minutes.
Daily Writing Goals Met (500+ words or 30 minutes of planning/revisions): 6 of 7 days.
