Writing Journal, 21 June 2023: Pretty productive if inconsistent

Hello to everyone.

I managed to bump up the numbers this week, even though I ended up not writing Sunday or Thursday of last week. I can’t explain Sunday away, but Thursday I had every right to because the US Men’s National Team was playing Mexico so that’s my excuse for then.

Not much else to say for the previous week, although a lot of the words for that week are for a paid subscriber exclusive story related to my new book, The Yank Striker: A Footballer’s Beginning, giving some background on a certain Premier League team interested in recruiting the main character. You’ll have to paid subscribe to check it out, but I will say I had to do more research for this piece than nearly anything in recent memory. There was plenty of Internet searches and dives down different electronic paths to get the information I needed. And it’s a sizable story, too.

Anyway, here’s the stats for last week.

Writing statistics for the week ending 17 June 2023:
6,032 words written.
Days writing: 5 of 7.
Days revising/planning: 0 of 7 for 0 total minutes.
Daily Writing Goals Met (500+ words or 30 minutes of planning/revisions): 5 of 7 days.
