Writing Journal, 12 July 2023: I might be cautiously willing to call this a hot streak

Hi, everybody.

I want to keep this, as usual these days, quick.

Even though my overall word count has been sliding slightly down over the past three weeks, this is the third week in a row when I’ve written at least 7,000 words. You should remember I consider anything in the 4,200 range and above a productive week.

So, that’s a good thing. I’ve also been productive revising and planning some new ideas for a project I can’t get out of my head. Keep tuned to this space and I’ll keep you in the loop about it.

And now, the stats for last week.

Writing statistics for the week ending 8 July 2023:
+7,072 words written.
Days writing: 7 of 7.
Days revising/planning: 4 of 7 for 300 total minutes.
Daily Writing Goals Met (500+ words or 30 minutes of planning/revisions): 7 of 7 days.

That’s all for now. See you on Saturday when I am hoping to get back to releasing my weekly newsletter on time, lol. Later.

While I do appreciate you following this blog, I really would like you to subscribe to my Substack page. By subscribing to that page, you’ll not only be receiving my Substack newsletter, The Writing Life With Jason Liegois (the companion blog to this one), but you’ll also be signing up for my email list.
