Writing Journal, 19 July 2023: Keeping churning

Hello to everyone.

I keep thinking these writing journals are becoming shorter. Maybe it’s because I’m becoming more aware of how I work, so the analysis I had on some of these are more to the point. Also, since my “A Week in the Writing Life” pieces tend to have taken over from the old writing journals, but that’s all right. I’d like to hope as I evolve as a writer, my weekly columns online evolve as well.

As for last week, it was a drop from the previous three weeks, but I think I was performing above and beyond then, to be honest. I’m happy I’m producing a lot of original material for the blogs (and more to come). To be honest, if I had a week like this any other week in the year, I’d be very happy with it.

All things said, here’s the stats.

Writing statistics for the week ending 16 July 2023:
4,682 words written.
Days writing: 5 of 7.
Days revising/planning: 6 of 7 for 330 total minutes.
Daily Writing Goals Met (500+ words or 30 minutes of planning/revisions): 7 of 7 days.

That’s all for now. Watch this weekend as I will have both my weekly newsletter and at least one paid subscriber exclusive article. See you then.

While I do appreciate you following this blog, I really would like you to subscribe to my Substack page. By subscribing to that page, you’ll not only be receiving my Substack newsletter, The Writing Life With Jason Liegois (the companion blog to this one), but you’ll also be signing up for my email list.
