[PHOTO NOTE: Finally got some rain today.]
Hi, everyone, and apologies for not having this out right at noon today. I’ve been playing some hooky1 to be honest.
I’ll keep this brief. I was on a dry streak this week, and it was one of the first times in a while I wrote only for my blogs and not anything else. Thankfully, I have been sorting out what has been going on with me and how I might break the logjams in my head and get moving forward, like I mentioned last week. It might not have paid off last week, but I have been more productive in the last couple of days, so I’m hoping the results will pay off in this week’s numbers.
Given I’ve been more productive on my blogs than ever before, this week managed to just be the first week I wrote less than 3,000 words since May of this year rather than a sub-1,000 number, so I felt good about that.
Writing statistics for the week ending 29 July 2023:
2,317 words written.
Days writing: 2 of 7.
Days revising/planning: 5 of 7 for 210 total minutes.
Daily Writing Goals Met (500+ words or 30 minutes of planning/revisions): 6 of 7 days.
The numbers for July in total were not bad, either; they were just a shade under 20,000 for the month. As a result, I think I’m still very much on track to meet my minimum expected writing goals of at least 200,000 words this year and meeting my daily writing quota at least 75 percent of the time.
Writing statistics for July 2023:
Words: 19,952
Planning/revising: 1,020 minutes
Daily Writing Goals Met: 93 percent.
That’s it for now. I’ll see you next week.
