Not too much to analyze this week – I just ended up taking too much time off when I could have been writing. Sometimes I just veg out in front of the television after extended days at work and I don’t get up to my writing nook and get to work.
It’s not like I didn’t do anything last week – far from it. However, my pace this week is at least 600 words below where I want to be every week, and 600 words would be at least a day’s worth of writing to me – and I took two days off last week. That says it all, really.
If you followed along last week, you might remember me saying I might have to reconsider how I handle my writing goals for next year. Sometimes if you want to spend the proper amount of time and consideration on a fiction writing project, there are certain times when you have to not worry so much about how many sheer words you put out as part of the process. In addition, if I want to get this new project (The Yank Striker 2) done anywhere near June 2024, I might have to give over a considerable amount of time to revisions.
Anyway, here’s the stats for last week.
Writing statistics for the week ending 7 October 2023:
3,595 words written.
Days writing: 5 of 7.
Days revising/planning: 0 of 7 for 0 total minutes.
Daily Writing Goals Met (500+ words or 30 minutes of planning/revisions): 5 of 7 days.
That’s it for now. See you later.
