Writing Journal, 23 October 2024: Again inconsistent but not a big disaster

I’m posting one last an autumn picture here as a victory lap. I do believe we have we have finally seen the last 80 degree-plus days in Iowa for this calendar year [lies] since the past two days were 80 degrees, but I’m hoping beyond hope those will be the last such days we’ll see in Iowa. If I wanted to live in a jungle or desert I’d move to Arizona or Florida.

With me being occupied with the move to my new house, and doing some traveling last weekend, I didn’t get nearly enough words written like I wanted, but I at least got some writing done, which is more than what I can say for other weeks of this year.

Anyway, here’s the numbers for last week.

I made some progress on my mini-goal to get my first draft of my sequel to The Yank Striker (working title, Yank Striker 2) completed by the end of the year, but not enough for my taste. Most of the rest was frankly blogging stuff.

Now I have to get moving again. Hopefully I follow through.
