To paraphrase Gordon Ramsey, finally some good bloody numbers.
Here’s the numbers below.
Writing statistics for the week ending 16 November 2024:
Words: 5,048.
Days writing: 7 of 7.
Days revising or planning: 7 of 7 for 90 minutes.
Daily Writing Goals Met (500+ words or 30 minutes of planning/revisions): 6 of 7 days.
So, time to check on the goals for 2024.
- At least 200,000 words written for the 2024 calendar year. Bonus points if I made it past the all-time personal record of 215,152 words I set last year.
As of 16 November 2024, I have written 192,387 words for the year 2024. That would leave 7,613 words to get to my 2024 minimum. Given my pace recently, I’ll likely have it knocked out by Thanksgiving or earlier.
To match last year’s record, I’m going to have to write at least 506 words per day for the remainder of the year. That is doable. - Meeting my daily writing goals (at least 500 words written or 30 minutes spent revising or planning new work) at least 75 percent of the year.
This is all but wrapped up. - (Recently added) complete my rough draft of The Yank Striker 2 (second in The Yank Striker series), which should be approximately 75,000 words, by the end of the calendar year.
As of this writing, I’m over 62,000 words on the rough draft. I will need to average 270 words per day on this project from now until the end of the year. This is somewhat difficult, but not impossible.
41 days left in the year as of today. And it might be just enough time to get all of the things I wanted to get done completed. We’ll have to see.
Take care, everyone.
