Second week of December 2024 is finished now. There’s still a couple of goals I haven’t met yet… But I’m within reaching distance of them, so I don’t have much to complain about.
Here’s the stats for last week. It was a shade more productive than the previous week, but it was a good one too, so I’ve no complaints.
Writing statistics for the week ending 14 December 2024:
Words: 5,645.
Days writing: 7 of 7.
Days revising or planning: 1 of 7 for 30 minutes.
Daily Writing Goals Met (500+ words or 30 minutes of planning/revisions): 7 of 7 days.
2024 goals update:
At least 200,000 words written for the 2024 calendar year. Bonus points if I made it past the all-time personal record of 215,152 words I set last year.
As of the end of last week, I have written 213,365 words for the year 2024. I actually met my “minimum quota” of 200,000 words three weeks ago.
Now I am less than 2,000 words away from matching my personal best record of last year. My guess is I’ll match it by this week at the very latest, and then afterward, who knows? 220,000 or 225,000 would be some nice solid numbers, but we’ll have to see.Meeting my daily writing goals (at least 500 words written or 30 minutes spent revising or planning new work) at least 75 percent of the year.
Done and dusted, complete.- Complete my rough draft of The Yank Striker 2 (second in The Yank Striker series), which should be approximately 75,000 words, by the end of the calendar year.
As of the end of last week, I’m now at 71,025 words on the rough draft. Not as much as I hoped to have progressed by now, but it is very reachable. Whether I’ll have the full rough draft is another issue, but we’ll wait and see.
One and a half days before the Christmas break. Hopefully I can get some writing done then, too.
All you writers keep writing and everyone keep safe.
