Hi, there.
I already posted the yearly totals during my last newsletter, so I won’t get into those or the new goals here. Need to have my mind quiet for a bit on the subject.
Keep in mind this is a short week since I’m not counting the last few days of 2024 in this total, but all things considered, the numbers aren’t a total disaster.
Writing statistics for the week ending 4 January 2025:
Words: 2,567
Days writing: 3 of 4.
Days revising or planning: 2 of 4 for 90 minutes.
Daily Writing Goals Met (500+ words or 30 minutes of planning/revisions): 4 of 4 days.
Not to get into the weeds on the numbers, but the short week and the last week of break played a little havoc with me. However, I would be ahead of my minimum quota numbers (since the minimum would be 2,000 for a four-day period)
I just hit 75,000 words on my rough draft for The Yank Striker 2 this current week. I’m getting close to just stitching up the patient and letting the manuscript sit for about four weeks before getting onto the first revision. This is going to have to go fast because I want to try and release the book for Summer 2025. That’s the hope, anyway.
Hope the year is starting off well for everyone.
