Hello to all.
By the end of last week, I was just as overjoyed to begin spring break as my students and colleagues were. It might have messed with my productivity a bit, but I’m still on pace.
Here are the numbers:
Writing statistics for the week ending 15 March 2025:
Words: 3,820
Days writing: 6 of 7.
Days revising or planning: 1 of 7 for 30 minutes.
Daily Writing Goals Met (500+ words or 30 minutes of planning/revisions): 5 of 7 days.
I was slightly more inconsistent in my writing, especially the last two days of the week. I’m hoping all this free time I’ve got this coming week of Spring Break will allow me to have an excellent writing week, even though I’ll be off to the Des Moines Book Festival at the end of the week and it appears I might make a family weekend out of the entire deal. The thing is, I need to be averaging at least 4,330 words per week to help meet my new yearly writing goal (225,000).
As for my new work in progress, The Yank Striker 2:
- Beta reads – should completed by the end of March.
- Two more rounds of revisions in April.
- Final editing and proofreading in May and concluding by the end of May.
- Publication June 2025.
That’s it for now. I’m hoping things pick up this week. Everyone take care of yourselves.
