Quick Celebration And An Apology

Hi, just a quick couple of things.

  • I was just looking at the site and I realized that at some point I had crossed the 400-post mark on this blog. Of course, more than a few of those were brief, pithy little posts like this one, but still, that is something of a feat. Good on me for actually sticking with a writing blog longer than just a few months. So, I reformatted one of the Pexel pictures and you now see it as the featured photo for this post.
  • For the first time in at least a few weeks, I’m not going going to be able to post a “content rich” blog post on the weekend. Part of that was going out of town for at least a good portion of one of those days, and the other was some of those blogs mushroomed into more than what I was expecting, and then I got started too late on one. Sorry about that, but people who have been reading this before are likely used to it.
  • I have been working on those blogs, and I think that you might be able to get one on Friday and one on Saturday without many problems. Now I’ll see whether I actually stick to that or I procrastinate again, ha ha.
  • Anyway, hope everyone is doing great. I’ll be back in a little while.

2nd Year Anniversary!

In lieu of posting anything of importance, I just wanted to take this moment to celebrate the second anniversary of this blog. (Yea, ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป)

In two years, I’ve reviewed enough of my history to have something like a memoirella in the works (memoirella = memoir + novella), picked up my writing productivity extensively and managed to get my first book published.

However, I’m far from done. I need to get going on more projects despite the fact that I’m keeping almost as busy sorting out my house and kids as when I am working. I’m putting out some good numbers the past few weeks, though.

I’m also proud of sticking with this blog. This is the longest I’ve ever written a regular blog or journal in my life, and I’m up to almost 150 followers on WordPress.

I’ve got no idea what is coming next, but I look forward to it.

Writing Journal 10.15.2017: Looks good for once, and another milestone

Felt good about this week – finally took my advice about only writing the interesting stuff rather than the boring stuff.

The stats:

+3,856 words written.

Days writing: 5 out of 7.

Daily writing goals met (500+ words): 5 out of 7 days.

Improvement across the board from last week and even from the week before. It’s good to see.

Also, I wound up hitting the 50,000-word mark on the new project. Right now I’m shooting for the manuscript to be under 100,000 words, so maybe halfway there with a first draft.

This is the quick pat on the back before getting back to it.
