Hello there.
I was keeping fairly busy last week, even though there were two days I didn’t even get anything done. It was still more productive than last week’s numbers:
Writing statistics for the week ending 16 December 2023:
4,417 words written.
Days writing: 4 out of 7.
Days revising/planning 3 out of 7 for 180 minutes.
Daily Writing Goals Met: 5 out of 7 days.
Again, higher numbers but more inconsistency. The good news is that as of the end of last week, I have written 211,249 words for 2023, a little more than 3,000 words below my all-time personal best of 214,385, which I set last year.
One good week would surpass the record. One good week and one great week would get me past 215,000 and all the way up to 220,000. And I’ve got about two weeks of writing left. It’s something worth reaching for, even though this week I’m going to try and concentrate on poetry, so that might hold the word count down if I don’t get a good start on it.
Two more weeks. Sounds like a good challenge.
Until next time.
