PHOTO NOTE: This is the Iowa State Capitol. I decided on a Des Moines photo based on what is going on this week. I’ll let you know what I mean in a bit.
So, I had a pretty successful run last week. I’d like to tell you that it was based on a new planning technique or focusing gimmick that helped out, but it was nothing like that. Turns out that having a good feel for what you want to write and having thought about it for a while really helps productivity. Whether what I am writing this week fits that bill… well, the numbers might not look so well, but hopefully I stay relatively consistent.
I put up the picture because I’ve been in contact with a writing group in Des Moines, and I’m really eager to attend my first meeting of them in person. I’m hoping to get some feedback on my work and do some networking. I’ll let you know how it goes. It feels good to be doing something about my writing other than just writing and talking about writing and writing about writing (lol).
Anyway, that’s about it for now. I’ll give you an update on what it’s like to talk shop with other writers – it’s been nearly a year since I’ve even had a chance to do that. I’m sure my family would appreciate me being able to hang out with some like-minded people and not talk their ears off about whatever I’m writing.
Here’s the stats, as always. Writers keep writing and everyone keep safe.
