In the end, I did slightly better than last week, which isn’t saying much.
Writing statistics for the week ending 17 August 2024:
2,612 words written.
Days writing: 4 of 7.
Days revising/planning: 2 of 7 for 90 total minutes.
Daily Writing Goals Met (500+ words or 30 minutes of planning/revisions): 6 of 7 days.
It’s going to be tough for me to judge how productive I am going to be once the school year swings into gear. I’m going to make more of an effort to get out and work out more (I prefer to swim laps rather than jog), and of course work will take over much of my time, but I have a much shorter commute than I usually do which will easily save me an average of 30 minutes of drive time per day.
I think for the next few weeks, these writing journals are going to be short and to the point. All I’m going to try and do is keep up the pace and be productive.
Take care everyone, and good luck to all the writers out there trying to write.
